This five-membered band, which deliciously combines dance music and heavy guitars has amassed quite a audience on the side of streaming services and is preparing for the release of its second album, Pop Metal, which will be released just next month. Today, they’re releasing a fast paced single called Psycho.
“We felt like our second album still needed one straightforward rock song. We wanted to create a song that it pumping and makes heads bang. This time we felt like the song needed only one verse. We went straight to the part c and broke the typical Memoremains formula, hahah!” says keyboardist Mikko.
A song that breaks the typical formula was also kind of hard to write lyrics to. The lyrics are about of resistance to change and denial of problems followed by anger – until have to admit the problem.
“The song was already named Psycho, when Mikko first time showed me the composition. I decided to took it as a lead for myself and built the story around it. Psycho was one of the most challenging songs for me to write and the formation of the final version took its own time”, singer Johanna says.
The music video is directed by Tomi Salminen and light design is by Tuomas Mäki.
